Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born and raised in Canada. She is best known to Canadians for her role as a Canadian actress in the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. Also, she appeared in Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea a' que te is enthralled. Additionally, she's a talented professional model as well as a dancer. Montreal-born, she has lived in Texas since childhood, and always loved performing. Since she was a child she has been taught to dance in various forms. In her teens, she took part in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia achieved fame after she won a spot on Nuestra Belleza Latina in 2008. In 2010 she played the receptionist of Telemundo telenovela Aurora. Toubia's performance as Shadowhunter was recognized by her fellow actors at the Teen Choice Awards in both 2018 and 2017 for the Best TV Actress Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
