Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his signature style. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine Her real name has been given as Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church, where she sang and performed piano. She attended Spellman College and began to study the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released only in Japan and was later remixed by many producers and remains a staple in her live show. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to serve as the director of the choir for the stage production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention due to her four daily performances during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was chosen to perform as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
